Calamba, Laguna – Region 4A City Association Launching (July 27, 2022)

April 2022, TBPeople Philippines Organization Inc visited our Region 4a City Association Leaders in
Laguna. The goal is to establish discipleship emerging leaders for the advocacy that we have located in
region 4a and represent TBPeople Philippines in their respective cities too just like in Pampanga, Region

We appointed Ms. Lorelyn Ajero as President of the TBpeoplePH Discipleship: City Association
Calamba Laguna, Mr. Anthony Refresca as Vice President, and one of the Community Officers Ms. Grace
Atienza.
 
July 27, 2022, we’re scheduled for a courtesy call with Mayor Ross Rizal but due to an unexpected
urgent matter we had re-scheduled, the team decided to visit the different departments in the City Hall
of Calamba Laguna. We’ve met with the Admin Officer of DSWD, Ms. Elena Par, the DILG Officer Ms.
Jennifer Quirante, the City Health Office of Calamba, Representative of Congresswoman Cha Hernandez-
Alcantara, and many more.
 
On the same day, we officially launched the TBpeoplePH Discipleship: City Association Calamba Laguna
with a special guest, Ms. Elena Par of DSWD Calamba Laguna, other Health Workers from different
health facilities, Survivors, families of Survivors, and some representatives from other organizations. We
discussed the advocacy plan that we have for Calamba, like spreading TB Awareness. We talked about
the current status of TB in the city. We also share our upcoming activities in the organization and
explained the kind of help the community officers needs for the sake of the people affected with TB who
are also experiencing depression and anxiety while fighting the dreaded disease.
 
August 11, 2022, Like the Mayor of San Fernando Pampanga, Mayor Vilma B. Caluag; Finally, we’ve met,
for the first time Calamba Laguna Mayor. Hon. Roseller H. Rizal gave and declared his support to
TBpeoplePH Calamba Laguna City Association’s proposals and advocacy that we have planned in his
beloved city and jurisdiction.
 
Our Community Officers are excited to prepare for the TB Literacy activity that will be conducted in the
city’s barangays.
