The #TuberculosisWarriors Partners Meeting (May 9, 2023)
It was an honor to be among such esteemed organizations and individuals who are all dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis. The #TuberculosisWarriors Partners Meeting on May 9, 2023, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across the Philippines, united in their commitment to ending this devastating disease once and for all.
TBpeople Philippines was inspired by the passion and dedication of our fellow attendees, UP Red Cross Youth, UP Kadugong Bol-anon Diliman, CO Manila – UP Diliman, Adamson University Student Government, Johnson & Johnson, DepEd Tayo PRIME NCR, Department of Health – Disease Prevention and Control Bureau, Commission on Higher Education(CHED), and DILG Office of the Assistant Secretary for International Relations. Together, we pledged our full support to the TB Warriors campaign, recognizing that it will take a collective effort to achieve our shared goal of eradicating TB. We left the meeting feeling energized and motivated to continue our work in raising awareness about TB prevention and treatment, advocating for better policies and resources, and supporting those affected by this disease.
We believe that awareness is key when it comes to fighting any disease, and we’re glad that the #TuberculosisWarriors campaign has taken steps toward raising awareness about TB prevention and treatment. Empowering the youth to take positive action against this highly-communicable but preventable and curable disease is also crucial. As we continue to advocate for better policies and resources, we should not forget about those affected by TB. We need to provide them with the care and support they need to overcome this disease. Together, we can make a difference and put an end to TB once and for all.
