The TBpeople Philippines recently had the opportunity to meet with Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda in Baguio City. Councilor Tabanda facilitated introductions between the team and key city officials, including the Vice Mayor, City Councilors, City Heads, and Administrators. During a session in the plenary hall, TBpeople Philippines introduced themselves, shared their advocacy, and presented various projects aimed at eradicating tuberculosis (TB) in the city. TBpeople Philippines actively participated in the Cordillera Day Celebration through a Health Caravan held in Brgy. Camdas, Quirino Hill, Baguio City. The event was attended by Councilor Betty Lourdes Tabanda, the chairman of health of the city council, and Dr. Alice. The Health Caravan engaged many residents from Brgy. Camdas and nearby areas, offering them access to valuable healthcare services provided by the Department of Health – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH CAR).…

TBpeople Philippines continued its efforts to spread awareness about TB by meeting with Dr. Ronald E. Flores, the Provincial Health Officer Chief of Leyte, and other health officials, including Ma. Irma D. Lerios, PHO Technical Head; Kimberly Pearl Alvero, Provincial NTP Nurse Coordinator; and Karena Cleofe De Veyra. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss the Discipleship Program in Survivor aimed at empowering TB survivors by providing them with tools and knowledge to advocate for others in their communities.…

From June 27 to 28, 2024, TBpeople Philippines, in collaboration with the Tropical Disease Foundation, Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) Research Team, and KNCV, conducted a comprehensive monitoring visit to the Bicol Region.
