TB101 and the importance of CBOs in the TB Program in our country

TBpeople Philippines was with Luzon’s DSWD Social Workers to help introduce to discuss TB101 and the importance of CBOs in the TB Program in our country happened in Subic last February 2023. It is vital for members of the public to be informed about tuberculosis and its implications. By having a conversation on TB101, everyone can gain a better understanding of the importance of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) in fighting this disease.CBOs are essential in providing aid to those affected by TB because they offer support services and ensure that people adhere to treatment protocols. The Social Workers also highlighted how CBOs facilitate education campaigns in order to reduce stigma related to TB and encourage testing for early diagnosis. This highlights the value of having these organizations involved in the overall fight against tuberculosis. Moreover, it’s important to have an understanding of why we need to have involvement from NGOs, community groups, and other stakeholders so that the program is successful.
