TBPeople Philippines and Ayala Malls Unite to Raise Workplace Awareness Against Tuberculosis
In an inspiring step towards raising awareness about tuberculosis, TBPeople Philippines recently conducted a series of workplace TB awareness campaigns across various Ayala Malls. This collaboration highlights the organization’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that every individual has access to crucial health information and understands the significance of early detection and proper treatment of TB.
The campaign, spearheaded by TBPeople Philippines, was met with overwhelming participation from Ayala Malls’ employees, both onsite and online. The event was organized by Ms. Ivy Bicaldo, Senior Human Resources Associate at AyalaLand Malls, Inc., whose leadership and coordination were instrumental in ensuring the success of the session.
To make the event more interactive and engaging, the team introduced activities that revolved around the OneImpact App, developed in collaboration with the Stop TB Partnership. The app provides a platform for individuals affected by TB to receive support and information. The enthusiasm and participation of the Ayala Malls team in these activities were remarkable, creating a lively atmosphere.
The awareness sessions were designed to engage employees, creating an inclusive environment where the conversation about TB could flourish. TBPeople Philippines shared essential information about the nature of tuberculosis, its symptoms, prevention, and the importance of seeking timely medical attention. Participants were encouraged to ask questions and dispel common misconceptions about the disease, fostering an atmosphere of open dialogue.
The campaign has strengthened the resolve of both TBPeople Philippines and Ayala Malls to continue their collaborative efforts to address public health concerns. Through awareness, education, and collective action, the goal of ending tuberculosis becomes increasingly achievable, one workplace at a time.
