TBpeople Philippines and Macare Medicals Explore New Partnership Opportunities for TB Initiatives
A major key moment on pursuit of potential collaboration was reached when representatives from the TBpeople Philippines Organization were welcomed by the leadership team of Macare Medicals, consisting of Mr. Florizel “Flor” De Pano (President), Patrick Los Baños (Head of Admin & Special Projects), and Ryan N. Aben (Business Manager). The meeting took place at Macare’s impressive 14-storey building, where the TBpeople Philippines team was given a comprehensive tour of the facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories and event spaces.
During the tour, the Macare team proudly showcased their Achievement Map, highlighting the locations of their GeneXpert machines, essential tools in the fight against tuberculosis. These machines, which are widely distributed, play a critical role in providing rapid TB diagnosis and detection, a focus area for TBpeople Philippines as they strive to improve community health outcomes and expand access to TB care.
In addition to the tour, the Macare leadership shared valuable insights on potential areas where TBpeople Philippines could focus their efforts to increase visibility, build trust, and engage more deeply with local communities. Mr. Flor De Pano emphasized the importance of strategic project proposals and invited the TBpeople Philippines team to propose initiatives that could benefit Filipinos across the country.
