TBpeople Philippines Attends Ceremonial Turnover of Ultra-Portable X-ray Machines in PTSI Quezon City
TBpeople Philippines recently participated in the Ceremonial Turnover of Ultra-Portable X-ray Machines from REMEDI, organized by the Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc. (PTSI) in Quezon City. The organization was represented by Mr. Luisito Tay, Media and Campaign Officer, and Mr. Alvin Ferry, IT Head. This event provided an opportunity for TBpeople Philippines to learn more about the new medical technology and connect with key stakeholders to explore potential collaborations in furthering its mission of combating tuberculosis (TB) in the country.
A key highlight of the event was the turnover of the Ultra-Portable X-ray Machines from REMEDI, a state-of-the-art medical imaging device. These machines are designed to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in a compact, portable format, making them ideal for use in remote locations, hospitals with limited space, or situations requiring quick deployment, such as medical emergencies or community health outreach programs. Despite their compact size, the machines offer powerful imaging capabilities with high-resolution output, ensuring accurate and efficient diagnosis of conditions like tuberculosis (TB).
The team had a productive conversation with Mr. Ronald A. Vergel De Dios, Executive Director of PTSI, in which TBpeople Philippines expressed their interest in collaborating on upcoming projects. This marks a significant step toward advancing TB care and raising awareness nationwide. Additionally, they had the opportunity to meet with Mr. YG Kim, Founder and CEO of Remedi, a leading innovator in medical technology. Mr. Kim expressed keen interest in the organization’s initiatives, paving the way for potential future collaborations.
The Ceremonial Turnover of Ultra-Portable X-ray Machines symbolizes more than just the delivery of advanced technology—it highlights the collaborative efforts needed to tackle tuberculosis. By embracing innovative diagnostic tools like Ultra-Portable X-ray Machines and fostering partnerships with leading health organizations and technology providers, TBpeople Philippines is taking meaningful steps toward improving TB care, detection, and awareness, especially in underserved communities.
