TBPeople Philippines Collaborates with Otsuka Philippines, Pocari Sweat and Getz Healthcare Philippines in TB Health Awareness
TBPeople Philippines has joined forces with Otsuka Philippines Pharmaceutical, Inc., Pocari Sweat (Philippines) and Getz Healthcare Philippines to empower participants in the fight against tuberculosis (TB). This collaborative effort seeks to raise awareness and provide critical education on the prevention and treatment of TB, focusing on communities most affected by the disease. Through a series of orientation sessions, educational programs, and the sharing of inspiring stories from TB survivors, the initiative aims to reduce stigma, enhance understanding, and foster community resilience.
The activity includes comprehensive orientation sessions designed to educate participants about tuberculosis, its symptoms, and the importance of early intervention. These sessions provide participants with essential knowledge on how to identify TB cases and navigate the healthcare system for proper diagnosis and treatment.
A key component of the collaboration is the introduction of the innovative Fast Track the Cure #6MonthsMax campaign. This program is designed to offer a shorter, more effective treatment regimen for those suffering from drug-resistant TB. This new approach aims to reduce treatment time to just six months, making it significantly more manageable for patients.
In addition to treatment advancements, the partnership advocates for the adoption of the One Impact App, a mobile tool designed to support TB patients in managing their conditions. This app offers a platform for TB patients to track their treatment progress, receive support, and connect with others who have experienced the disease.
As these efforts continue to expand, it is hoped that more Filipinos will be encouraged to seek timely treatment, adhere to medical advice, and support those affected by TB. This initiative is a powerful reminder that through collaboration, education, and shared stories, the fight against tuberculosis can lead to healthier, more resilient communities across the country.
